Testimonial for Mike Hill, Heritage Construction

My husband and I have been working with Mike for almost a year and are now enjoying our new home, rebuilt from the foundation on up. We initially interviewed 5 recommended contractors in the area, contacted 12 referrals, and found Mike to be the optimal choice. 

We had building plans (awaiting city approval) and supplemented them with as much detail as possible. Before we selected a contractor, Mike was the only one willing to give us a high-level estimate for the project, based on what we provided. Once our plans were approved, Mike made the respective adjustments to his estimate. Now that our project has been completed, we know that he did a spot-on job of estimating! 

Here’s 5 more reasons we chose to work with Heritage Construction:

1. There was no middle-man. We liked having a single, central point of contact who was intimate with our plans, and a direct conduit to the subs. He kept us in the loop and involved us in all decisions.

2. Not everything on paper actually works when you get into it. Mike is a creative problem solver and made sure we understood the options and their costs, when Plan A wasn’t going to work. 

3. Mike’s only project was ours and in addition to coordinating all aspects of our project, he did actual work too. He is a professional carpenter and was responsible for a lot of the finishing work. And he was the one cleaning up the job site every day.

4. Mike has excellent sub-contractors, especially the tiler, roofer, electrician and plumber, who share his goal of customer satisfaction. Once in awhile, they had to come back to fix something, and they did so on a timely basis without complaint. 

5. And last but not least, Mike is stellar to work with. He is professional, experienced and accessible. He provided input when we requested, it but always respected our wishes. 

We feel very fortunate that Mike was the general contractor on our project. We received excellent craftsmanship, great project management and a beautiful end-product for a very fair price. 

We’re sure that future customers will feel the same way. 

Under Construction

I recently had a house and pool house built from scratch in El Verano.  A mighty undertaking.  From the first hole dug to the last nail pounded I couldn't have made a better choice than Mike Hill.

He was dedicated to the project and took enormous pride in his work.  One thing I didn't realise in starting this project was how important to construction the reputation of the contractor is to the sub contractors in the community. Mike had terrific "subs", he knew who to use and who was worth waiting for and it showed in the finished project.  They all were as professional as he is. If you have the opportunity to build I would highly recommend having Heritage Construction involved.

We hired Mike Hill , Heritage Construction to build our guesthouse and he did a wonderful job. He always showed up, listened carefully and offered alternative suggestions when needed. Mike managed all the construction work and outside vendors where he had great working relationships. We were especially grateful at how cost-conscious Mike was during the build process.
